“Our slogan is 'We do pretty!' so everything here is very feminine and sartorially fun,” says Kari Owen, co-owner of Adorn Boutique in historic Inglewood. Stepping inside, you’ll discover a carefully curated collection of fashion-forward, sophisticated and feminine clothing and accessories from a range of Canadian, American and European designers, many of which Calgary shoppers will only be able to find here.
“When buying, I always try to picture our customer. We have a wide-ranging age group of girls and women who shop here, so I try to bring in classic pieces that would appeal to all age groups, as well as some younger, more fun and flirty pieces like our Partyskirts, all while sticking to the pretty theme of the shop," explains Kari. “Because every girl and woman deserves to feel pretty.”
The girls were unbelievably rude working the store. I came in with a smile and left with disappointment. The stuff is pretty but not worth having to deal with awful people.
Ultra-feminine staple pieces in soft fabrics and hues adorn the walls of this Inglewood boutique. Cozy coat sweaters in soft, neutral shades, seed-pearl-studded crewneck sweaters, classic cardigans – it’s all here under various designer labels, and the staff know their stuff when it comes to advice on fashion-forward trends.
Adorn boutique has been described as the “prettiest boutique in Inglewood.” Owned by Kari Owen, they are known for their fun party dresses and elegant tulle skirts, but also offer classic white tees with sassy sayings, famous quotes and cute graphics. Shop the “Adorn Collection” made in collaboration with Calgary lifestyle blogger Becky Kung for tees that are great for a casual Sunday brunch or a fancy girls’ night out.
Adorn Boutique is a go-to spot in Calgary for ultra-pretty, lacy and feminine pieces – especially during wedding season. Delicate styles line the racks of this cute Inglewood shop, like L.A. brand For Love & Lemons or Chi Chi London. Just be sure to give the bride her spotlight and steer away from the plentiful white lace here. Instead, point your eyes towards the many pinks, lilacs, powder blues and floral prints that will look perfect against a sunny, blue-sky backdrop.
