we enjoyed an excellent Italian meal of pasta and dessert. Everything was very good would and we would definately return. The waitress (Jaclynn) was excellent...prices were very resonable.
Reservation for a Friday night. Got to our table within seconds of entering. Hostess could have been a little more talkative and welcoming, but that wasn't a big issue. Server was quick and nice, but also a little cold. However, she asked if we needed drink refills quickly without me needing to flag her down. So this was very nice. Food arrived faster than I was expecting, and was great! Cooked exactly as I asked for, and well seasoned. Price was lower than a lot of those franchise pubs, and the food was better. The atmosphere of the place is wonderful! Not too dark where you can't see your food (like some places), and not too light to ruin the mood. Just right. The decor and layout is welcoming, I just wish the staff was a little more welcoming, and nice. I would have given the service a lower grade, but the food came fast and drinks were refilled quickly, so this bumps that score up a bit. Overall, good. Will go again.
I had been told this place was good, and I wish I'd seen the reviews before I came because I would have saved myself some money. The food was so bland and gross, and I have no idea why this place was fairly busy. I had some kind of spinach pasta with pesto and chicken and peppercorns, and all I could taste was peppcorn. It was disgusting. I took three bites and couldn't finish it. My boyfriend's arrabiatta was spicy, as it should be, but the penne was chewy and the sausage not tasty. I am happy they took my food off the bill, but I will never come here again.
We had a reception here for about 30 people prior to leaving for our destination wedding and thought the room downstairs was a really cute lounge like setting. The staff was friendly and adequate, the wine good, but the food was mediocre at best . I love italian food, I am not a picky eater and I would not eat here again.
The brushetta was served cold on stale bread. mys wife had the pasta special and she rated it average with lots of seafood but lacking in flavour. The veal Marsala was horrendously bad. Tender portions of veal served with nicely cooked orange bell peppers and small baked potato haves. The plate was smothered in runny brown gravy. When this was pointed out to the server, she asked if she could fix it or if I would like something else. My response was to take my plate to the chef and ask him why the marsala wine was missing. The server proceded to tell me that the wine was there as they ordered the sauces in special. My plate was removed from the table. No other comment from the restaurant was forthcomimg. I was only slightly surprised to see that we were charged the full amount since there was zero response to my complaint. Service was very slow, 20 minutes to drink request and another 12 minutes before they were supplied. The restaurant was only 1/4 to 1/3 full while we were there which makes a statement for 6:30pm on a Saturday. I will never return and would suggest everyone read these reviews, I know I wish I had.
After having our work christmas party at biagios i fell in love with this dish. i went again in the summer and was not very pleased. we were 2 of maybe 15 other people in the restaurant so it was a dead night. It took 40 minutes to get out appetizers which weren't presented as nice as they were at the christmas party. and after the appetizers it too another 45 minutes to get our meal which WAS COLD. the waitress came by 2 times only and our water was not refilled. not impressed at all.
When the homemade bread was served in was not hot and steamy and fresh the way it has always been, but cold and quite hard from the previous day. The server said Ooops forgot to check ? Isn’t that her job ? Then came along the Caesar salad which I thought was soup and not a salad as it was swimming in dressing and the lettuce was all wilted and extremely salty. I think that they poured the salt shaker in it. The Stuffed Shells were not served hot ! They were almost cold ! Then the veal sauce was only wine and the button mushrooms indicated in the menu were served as shredded mushrooms and much of the pasta was dry pasta as there was not enough sauce to mix with the pasta in my plate. We have had many meals at Biagio’s the last few years and they were always great but this one was absolutely awful. At the end of our meal, I asked the server if there were any changes in Management and if there was a new Chef, as it was certainly not what we experienced in the past. The server kept asking if there was anything she could do, but we were never offered any suggestions such as paying for the salad or one meal.
Wine is served in 'stemless wine glasses' - very inexpensive juice glasses. Main dishes: beef tenderloin special - overrated, served in bowl - vegetables ended up soaked in wine sauce. Ravioli - ordinary, not hot. Veal tortellini - cold, hard, nothing special. Service: adequate We were seated next to a table of 3 or 4 couples, all with babies. One baby howled most of the evening making conversation almost impossible and what we hoped would be a special evening, a nightmare. Staff made no effort to move guests and when we complained, we were simply told this is a family restaurant. Be warned - it is not advertised as a family restaurant, prices not reflective of family restaurant. Very disappointing evening.
Fabulous food, service, atmosphere. Love this place!
the severvice was ok...the poeple where pretty nice but the food was not good at all.
This has got to be one of the worst places I've eaten! The service was a 'hide and seek' game... the food came out of the fridge.. Never will we go back.
