Great family restaurant!

I've been working in the restaurant industry myself for the last 2 and half years, and when I visited Joey's i was impressed, the food was great, and the service was fast and efficient! It's a small restaurant, but its really busy and to see the servers and hostesses to manage every thing so fast and friendly, I was very pleased! I would definitely recommend this place to everyone, and for those who's not happy with the service, cut the employees some slack! It's not easy to manage a restaurant with such a busy

I asked for 1 shrimp cocktail that I didnt get with the other appetizers because the waitress said that i had not ordered it. I told her that I did order it. Finally, she brought it almost at the same time of my dinner. She never apologized.I worked with the public over 20 years,and always treated the customer with courtesy. Then, when i paid the bill, the girl at cash never smiled.I think these employees need to take a course in public relations and in the long run, the customers will come back. As for myself,I will go to other Joeys restaurants, but never this one in Kanata. Thank you

It was a Friday nite..the place was packed, and there was only one poor girl to handle the cash and clean and set up tables. She certainly did her best. The food was great! But the front entrance was packed with "baby" chairs, and was filthy. The floor, the cash register station, the chairs for waiting were dirty.the first thing you see is a place that is crowded, and unwelcoming.

I've been to this restaurant many, many times in the past, but I've noticed the quality of certain food items is diminishing. So much so, that I won't visit anymore. It seems the 'kids' who work there have a poor attitude and poor knowledge of how to prepare certain items. Fish batter is sickly, chips are scrawny, mushy peas are extremely salty. Not just once, but the last few times I have visited. Complaints don't seem to work here. As a fan and connoisseur of 'fish and chips' (worked in F&S shop in UK with my husband), I know what it should taste like and Joey's doesn't come close !
