Service is very casual. Food is very good. Have never been disappointed. There is another Chinese restaurant in town and my husband and I always eat here. The other place is kinda gross.
I've been a visiting and getting take out for years. Came back after a few years away to find quality is still quite good. Service has a family feel and the staff is friendly and professional. It's not fine dining, but definitely a good take out or casual dining option.
In terms of food, you get the sense that most of the dishes are 'home cooked'. eg. Vegetables are hand cut and clearly cooked from fresh ingredients instead of frozen. Also, most dishes are seasoned and flavoured well, something a lot of Chinese places tend to skip in things like bland veg mixes.
I agree about the Pork and Chicken Balls seeming a little the same and over battered, but still tasty and worth ordering.

Small town Chinese if often hit and miss. When I opened the two containers of take-out pork and chicken balls, I thought I had two of the same dishes. In fact, I had to call to make sure my order was correctly filled. Shortly after, my wife pointed out that one dish had slightly darker meat inside the deep-fried batter. Both dishes were heavily deep fried, and drenched in their sweet and sour sauce, leading to the similarity of appearances.
All in all, the dishes were good, but it was as if the restaurant didn't have enough faith the taste of their own products, and had to disguise any possible shortcomings in their sauce. I would have liked to have had the pork and chicken balls on their own, and added sauce from a separate container. But that's just me.
