Foodland Buckhorn

This franchise has really improved with the change in ownership. More products, better layout, helpful staff. Still a little pricey compared to the larger box chains but being in a small town you can’t expect much more.

I find the staff very warm, friendly and caring. The meat is always very good quality and cuts. I love that they offer local produce when available! I also love that they have Kawartha dairy products. I do find the packaging on the produce excessive, particularly in the winter months. This is the best grocery store in the local area.

Freezer burn

I have been 3 times weeks apart and each time I see a lot of food, including "fresh" meats with ice caked on the packaging. Smells and looks like freezer burn. The laundry soap I bought had a layer of dust on the lid. No attention to quality here for customers. Avoid!!!
