Best fish and chips in Ontario!!

Poor service, undercooked fish, fries were burnt

No sitting area, not much parking space. Staff (youth) wore no hair nets or hats, no gloves, one was coughing. The food portion was good and good tasting, however not the best I've had. Won't be returning

Plain, Simple, Fresh, like I said. Been going to Don's for years & have never been let down, always fresh & perfectly cooked. Our family has been going for years. Once took a friend that would not eat fish, now he only eats fish at Don's F&C. We also love the park & walk along the boardwalk of the St. Lawrence. Perfect family day out. Love it

I made sure I visited on a Friday when a F&C shop should be at its best. I have tried this place twice before and was not impressed but a friend convinced me to give them another chance. Bad move, the haddock was tasteless and wrapped in thick blanket of paste - the fries were only slightly better. Service was "surly". I'm told that Manoll's is better but that wouldn't be hard to achieve! Go to Kingston for F&C!!!!!!!

Great Food, Great People!

I've been going to Don's since I was a kid AND I had the privilege of working there all through high school. There are not many "fast food" places one could work at for that long and still want to go back every chance they get! Every time I'm in Brockville or driving through Brockville I always stop! My favorite thing to order is 1 fish (cod) and a half fry. That's right, they'll do a half size of fries! I also greatly enjoy a half poutine and pogo from time to time. The pogo's are special there because they are made fresh daily along with the fish! All this topped off with a root beer Jones soda... Mmmmmmmm good! If you've never been you have to make a point of stopping in next time you're in the neighbourhood!

At least once a month, summer or winter, we drive from Orleans for some of Don's fish and chips. They are by far the best we can find anywhere and the fish is awesome!!. The service is great and Brockville provides plenty of room to enjoy this treat. We usually got to the marina park or the large park west of Don's where there are usually picnic tables available. Sitting under a big old maple tree enjoying this feast can't be beat.

World's best fish and chips!

I've been going to Don's for years and have never had bad fish and chips. I've gotten friends from Ottawa and Timmins hooked on Don's. Simple, but delicious and always best eaten at Block House Island!

Authentic & Awesome!!!

I have been making the hour-long trip from Ottawa at least twice a year for years. The fish is the best I have had anywhere, and I sample fish and chips frequently. They don't mess around with a complicated menu: take out only, cod or haddock, served in a brown bag and wrapped in newspaper. Fries are fresh cut, thick, and greasy: delicious. But the fish is other-worldly. Simply the best. All the regular fixin's including malt vinegar are provided. There are waterfront parks with picnic tables nearby, but we take the 3 minute drive to eat under the old gazebo at St. Lawrence Park.
