Jean's Chinese Restaurant

Whenever I (or friends) r hungry we make sure to get our food from Jeans!! Our only drawback is that we (patrons) live in Dartmouth & have to ensure that old bridge is open when we are hungry-lol. Last weekend found out by accident that bridge was closed for entire weekend!!!?

Very good Chinese food, standard fare, prepared at record speed. Super fresh! All that you crave and more! Atmosphere is that of a crowded take-out joint. I wish they would expand a bit and improve the décor.

Fantastic food with great prices!

The food here is outstanding. I always call in to get my order for take out. I drive a fair bit out of the way to go here simply because it is worth it. The place isn't much to look at on the inside. It could really use a fresh coat of paint, but atmosphere isn't what you are coming to Jean's for. Always fresh. Portions are HUGE!! I always get one combo plate for my wife and daughter to share, and there are STILL leftovers. I would highly recommend this place. What a find!

Good portion sizes. Food not so great... The restaurant is in a convenient location, and has a decent reputation. The menu was reasonably priced and the portions were perfect, however of everything I ordered, I wouldn't order anything again. The rice was the worst I'd ever had, the egg rolls were a) not what I was expecting (full of meat rather than traditional veggie egg rolls that come standard everywhere else), and b) not worthy of taking a second bite. The chicken balls were decent, but cold, and the sweet & sour chicken was pretty bland.

We ordered food (delivery) from them on Friday. They were prompt, and gave us free rice (I had cooked my own, but they did not know that!). The food is not "Food Court" chinese. It is really, REALLY good! Free delivery on orders over $15 before taxes. The portions are huge! The food is great! Wonderful! A refreshing change. Order from them! ..you won't regret it! If you see "hot" on their menu, don't be afraid - it is only mild if you are used to spicy food. I have been forced to comment on Atmosphere, otherwise they will not accept my review. It was delivery, so I have no idea about the atmosphere ... but if it is anything like the food and service, it must be a 5!!!
