Our family loves Thai food but in particular we really enjoy Sukothai. We've tried many of the other Thai restaurants in Winnipeg but we always come back to Sukothai.
My sister and I walked down to Sukothai for dinner, hoping to luck out and find fantastic thai food close to home. The hostess seemed pleasant, but one of the servers just seemed to be completely dazed and out of it. Not a huge deal, though; we still had our order taken and our food arrived in a decent amount of time. The food was okay... full disclosure, though: I'm completely spoiled by a fantastic Thai place from back home. I admittedly set the bar high for Sukothai, and it didn't quite make the grade from my perspective. Having said that, though, there was nothing particularly bad about the food. I found my matsaman curry to be a touch runny/watery for my liking, but my sister really enjoyed her pineapple stir fry. Overall, Sukothai was nice, but I'm still on the hunt for something that really hits the spot.
